THE WORD OF GOD

The Evangelical Methodist Church reaffirms its stand, without compromise or apology for the Bible as the verbally inspired, infallible, inerrant and all sufficient Word of God, which God has magnified above His name (Psalm 138:2).

Evangelical Methodists accept God's Word as God's only written Revelation to this world and as the final authority for faith and practice.

We believe that God gave His Word to the human race by divine inspiration (II Timothy 3:16) and that He preserved His Word from that time to all generations (Psalm 12:7).

Evangelical Methodists urge our churches and pastors to preach and teach God's Word in our churches, homes, schools, communities, and world-wide. We believe that a return to obedience to the Holy Scriptures will do more to point the world out of its present distress than all of the efforts of men.

Only the Authorized King James Version of The Holy Bible is to be used in our pulpits and schools in English-speaking countries.
