PORNOGRAPHY AND PERVERSION

WHEREAS we express extreme alarm at the openness of the market in pornography of all kinds, even in countries where this market was once severely limited, and

WHEREAS recent developments in all areas of the media have aggravated this condition of moral pollution; and

WHEREAS in addition to the spiritual havoc this wreaks, it also has a statistical correlation with increases in suicide rates, divorce rates, abortion, rape, violence, and illegitimate births; and

WHEREAS we deplore the blatant public flaunting of transvestites, transsexuals, and homosexuals with their related sinful acts and their attempts to gain public recognition of such deviate behavior as a proper and acceptable lifestyle so-called;

Whereas the Holy Scripture condemn all this sexual perversion and filth (Ex. 20:14; Deut. 23:17; Rom. 1:24-32), be it therefore

RESOLVED that we strongly condemn legislation in those countries where this relaxation of restraints has caused outrage to decent people and abomination in the sight of God. We cry out to Almighty God to judge this wickedness and, where His own people have been less than vigilant, to forgive us our neglect and to give us a new resolve to fight this evil.
